How to Transition Your Clothes from Summer to Fall

Don’t pack away your summer wardrobe quite yet! Early fall is the perfect time to layer your favorite pieces from summer with new autumn clothing to go from morning to afternoon to evening. We love making our clothes do double duty to get us through not just one but two or three seasons.

As the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler, it’s time to restyle your closet for the changing seasons!

Invest in Outerwear

With the crisp fall air blowing through, you might think it’s time to pack away those tank tops. Instead, use them to layer! It might seem too cool in the morning or night to wear a tank on its own, so layer it with a lightweight jacket like the Varis Bomber. You can stay easy breezy during the day but warm and still stylish once the sun goes down.

We’re not ready to put away our maxi dresses just yet. Instead, we’re switching out sandals for boots and layering a jacket on top for a boho-chic fashion statement. Bonus: you can get the Garden Party Maxi for $76.80 right now on sale (originally $128)!

Fall Into Flannel

Flannel never goes out of style, and you can never have enough! When the weather isn’t quite cold enough for coat, take the Loup Poncho with you to throw over your shirt for weekend shopping or brunch! The best fall outfits keep you cozy and comfortable but still cute, and a poncho is the perfect piece to accomplish that.

We love how versatile the Tell Tale Heart Top can be by layering it with a bralette or tank, so it’s no surprise that we’re going to continue to find ways to wear it into the fall! To add some contrast to its delicate features, we layered the Changing Horizons Ombre Flannel on top to stay warm.

Light Layers

Rock your distressed denim into the fall, even your white skinny jeans! For this look, Shelby started with the We The Free Milan Layering Top, which is a comfy luxe velvet pullover. On a chilly day, grab the Varis Bomber to throw on top to stay warm but not too hot!

If you’re looking to layer without a jacket, the Beckett Sweater is calling your name. With an oversize fit, it’s great to throw over your favorite tee such as the Faux Suede Lace-Up Tee, a luxe spin on everyone’s favorite basic.
